Daybook, 1792-1804, cashbook, 1843-1849, and ledger, 1828-1843 and 1872-1888, kept by turner John Ruthven, and his son, James Ruthven, of the New York City firm of Ruthven & Son. Later ledger entries, 1872-1888, were entered by New York City turner John F. Remmey, who succeeded Ruthven as the firm's proprietor.
